Airsoft was made in Japan in the late '70s to provide an alternative for gun lovers Since Japanese laws prevent individuals from privately owning firearms. Airsoft is a hobby or combat sport where players kill by hitting each other with little round plastic bb's, fired by airsoft weapons. Players often use different types of guns designed as replicas of real firearms, tactical gear, and accessories used by the military. Basically, airsoft is a game where the object is to "kill" the oposing player(s). When someone is hit, they must say so (the good old honor system). Similar to paintball without the mess, you can play any of the same games you would play with paintball. Airsoft guns are typically replicas of real guns. Airsoft guns are catagoriezed by how they operate. Spring, electric or gas powered. You might be suprised how much real military equipment will also work in airsoft games. Army navy stores can provide many items currently issued to military personal, and privately sold equipment ( flashlights, scopes, holsters, bi pods, those types of things). So, get a gun, and get to shooting. -DjSubroX www.myspace.com/subrox
